An Event held at Bodhivijjalaya College, Nakorn Nayok, Thailand
By Jareeporn Naksamrit, Lecturer, Faculty of Education, Srinakharinwirot University
In 2019, after the Educating for a Bright Future global NHE conference in Italy, Claudio Moreni (practitioner and founder of Campo Divino Argentina) and I sat on the train travelling to Salorno and talked about society and what we could do to make things better. Six years later, something continues to unite us to do good things, like a slow but sure dynamic flow that will affect the next generation! So we held an activity together for undergraduate students at Bodhivijjalaya College, Srinakarinwirot University, Thailand. The event was held on the 6th of November, 2025 and was well supported by the College.
The students who are studying Geo-Social and Cultural Management are on a quest for the truth of life. Their recent exchange with Campo Divino focused on project management, nature-based living, the philosophy of self-sufficiency (sufficiency economy) as King Rama 9 of Thailand propounded the use of clean energy to create a livable community that coexists with nature.
During this exchange, students learned about Western cultures—specifically Argentina, South America, and Germany—as well as Thai culture. They explored natural resource management and the creation of local community development projects, such as:
- Water management projects.
- Preserving aquatic environments and nature.
- Waste disposal.
- Learning from lessons, analyzing problems, and generating new knowledge for intergenerational transfer.
The Neohumanist philosophy of education was conveyed by practitioners living the Neohumanist way of life. Following the activities, the students reflected on their experience, describing it as a new and distinct type of learning.
Sincere gratitude goes to Shrii P.R.Sakar and Dada Shambhushivananda, our teachers, who led us to share and inspire people in southeast Asia,
