It is with deep sadness that we report that Arun Edward Glassman (Arun) passed away on August 5, 2025 in Denver, Colorado. He was a trusted friend of Gurukula and had been a long-time devotee of Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji.

As an educator, Arun studied Puppetry, Theater and Broadcast Communications at Denver’s Lorreta Heights College. He later went on to become a teacher at the Denver School of the Arts where he directed the Video Cinema Arts Program. Arun founded Cosmic Circle Puppets and did shows all around Colorado. In addition, he was one of the main organizers of the Celebrations of Unity, events which brought together spiritualists with kirtan and songs.

Arun’s expertise in audio-visual communications has proven invaluable over the past 50 years, during which he consistently provided essential technical support. He was a primary organizer of RAWA’s Songs for Social Change contests from 2016-2022. He was also a key part of the Ananda Marga Gurukula’s educational programs, providing audio-visual and technical support to a variety of programs in the US and abroad and assisting with video and film productions.

He will be missed by his immediate family, his wife Mahajyoti and their two daughters, Katie and Jonna as well as the wider Ananda Marga Gurukula family.
