Update of Documentary Film
Neohumanism: Path of Awakening and Benevolence
Sid Jordan, Executive Producer
Kevin Peer, Filmmaker
“Steady progress continues on the documentary film project Neohumanism: Path of Awakening and Benevolence. In late October and early November, filmmaker Kevin Peer (Kripadiish) spent eight days at Out to Pasture Animal Sanctuary in Estacada, Oregon, documenting the peaceful rhythms of the sanctuary’s animal residents and the devoted care offered by founders John and Kit Collins. He also interviewed John about the role Neohumanism has played in shaping their compassionate vision. Kevin also interviewed John about how Neohumanism has guided both him and Kit in shaping and sustaining the sanctuary’s mission.
With the OTP shoot complete, Kevin is now focusing on documenting how one activist’s campaign to protect Pipe Fork—a 320-acre forest, stream, and waterfall ecosystem in Southern Oregon—has been inspired by Neohumanism. Together, the Pipe Fork and Out to Pasture stories vividly embody P.R. Sarkar’s call to include plants, animals, and entire ecosystems within humanity’s circle of love, compassion, and responsibility.
As filming approaches completion, Kevin is entering the post-production phase, selecting and organizing the strongest material from his global documentation. This work will lead to a 45-minute feature film as well as short 3–5 minute pieces for online platforms. All are designed to introduce worldwide audiences—many for the first time—to Neohumanism’s profound capacity to inspire enlightened, love-motivated action toward a kinder, more integrated, and more sustainable world.”
