Women’s College, Uma Nivas

Update

The college activities have been regular and continuous with about 200 students since its inception in 2022 under the principal Avadhutika Ananda Tapashiila. Students come from the surrounding villages, from the Girls’ Home next door and the Ananda Marga Girls’ High School which is closely connected to the college. The Girls’ High School also has a boarding facility for girls from many parts of India and has about eighty girls boarding.

The regular programmes offered are Music, Indian classical Dance, Computer Courses, and Fine Arts. Regular classes on yoga, meditation, and Taekwondo have become part of the life of the students.

The College has applied to the Government of West Bengal to offer two paramedical courses in Pharmacy and Lab Technician. Required laboratory facilities are currently being installed, and fundraising is underway to support the laboratory and equipment costs, budgeted at $20,000. Of this, $16,660 remains outstanding, and we warmly welcome contributions from donors and supporters. Please kindly contact .
