Constructing the Meditation Hall.
‘La base está’ (there is a base) used to say a well-known Argentinian soccer coach when the team was nicely formed. Finally, in these last hot months the elevated ground of the hexagonal hall was completed, where the main structure will be standing. The low budget construction includes natural materials based on wood with a green reciprocal roof. It has a spectacular 360-degree view of the site and will play a very relevant role in the project as it will become a hub of Kiirtan and a Satsaunga space for all visitors. The construction of the hall represents the completion of the first phase of the Campo Divino project plan, enabling us to have programs and events for community interaction towards planetary integration. It is one of the main characteristics of Campo Divino to attract and motivate people from various backgrounds and occupations to contribute and take part to the best of their capacity in different areas. The ongoing construction is led by Daniel Martin, a dear life-friend from university times to whom enormous gratitude is felt and expressed. Looking forward to conclude the structure by this winter!! Sincere efforts and a wee bit of grace from the Supreme turn impossible dreams into concrete results.
Decolonization process
During the volunteers’ program held this year, men and women from Germany, Belgium, Norway and the locals gathered to offer their energy with an open heart towards balance and equanimity.
Due to colonizing times from long ago it is well known in this present time that a tremendous disequilibrium is taking place all over the world. Particularly in relation to treatment of humans below the equator line with consequent terrible exploitative processes and irrational invasion and Non-Stop harming Mother Nature with all Its inhabitants – plants, animals, water, air and soil.
It is natural for our earth in its extraordinary existence to be diverse, to be healthy, to be generous and to be shared embracing all living and non-living in her own bosom.
One fine morning, embedded with collective spirit and inspiration, all the people present took the mighty task of removing the so called ‘alien plants’ from the area besides the river around the new construction. They removed exotic species that invade the Native Monte spreading ceaselessly over the local plants and trees, of which most are of medical value, and creating an impossible situation for them to develop, grow and in some condition even exist in.
The province’s authorities encourage the removal of 4 plants originated in European countries (blackberry, always green, black acacia and olmos) that traveled throughout the centuries to American lands, in order to preserve and protect the nature that thrives across the Córdoba sierras. That very day, one of the participants from Argentina described the activity as ‘Decolonizing Trees’. Everyone identified with the spirt of the term understanding that this small, yet significative action, represents in depth today’s struggle to allow everybody on the planet to get the minimum requirements of life and continue progressing towards welfare, fulfillment and bliss.
“Parama Puruśa is with everyone therefore no one can be inferior or superior. As such, in the existential sphere there cannot be any sort of complex, and our social order should be such that there remains no room for any complex. We have to make such a social order and we have to make it immediately without any loss of time.” Shrii P. R. Sarkar – Prout in a Nutshell Part 11
Visits for a real change
Only a small number of humans in the world enjoy the possibility to travel and explore new places; rather most people are born and pass their days in the same spot as their ancestors. South America is a common destination chosen by Europeans who are attracted by its unique nature and warm-hearted atmosphere. Throughout the years Campo Divino welcomes volunteers mostly coming from Europe. The inner motivation of these young pioneers is to expand beyond the normality of their comfort zone, excessive security and control, as well as to learn the art of sustainable living without harming others. Touched by their inner transformation and inspiration, friends and family members kindle the desire to explore life in deeper ways and make travel plans with greater meaning and charm.
Campo Divino was the venue this summer for volunteers’ parents and friends to spend time in the project and feel part of the collective flow. Two dear friends born in Germany volunteered this season, and also prepared for an amazing journey of more than 2,000km. They are now touring ‘by bike’ the north of Argentina all the way to Bolivia, Fully connected to nature and with much effort, they are exploring the incredible landscape of the Andes mountains, as well the local culture, the social conditions, and the reality of people who suffer the results of cruel disparities and discrimination that a system made for the satisfaction of a few imposes on the many.
Future plans for the project manifest in the present because of this beautiful arrangement and collective force. Let service projects and community integration be the main motive for people traveling in this world!!
