The Neohumanist Education network of primary and secondary schools spans over fifty countries with over 1000 schools established over the past 50 years. The NHE system of education is based on the holistic philosophy of Neohumanism which stands for ” the practice of love for all creation including plants, animals and the inanimate world” as propounded by the Indian philosopher Shrii P.R. Sarkar. It incorporates a harmonious blending of oriental introversial philosophy and occidental extroversial science.
Neohumanist Education is firmly rooted in the philosophy and principles of Neohumanism whereas its methodology is flexible, creative and culturally sensitive. Neohumanism honours the multiplicity that is the sum of human consciousness. This has important implications for the way classrooms can be structured and curricula constructed.
The focus of Neohumanist Education is on physical, mental and spiritual self-development, human values, universal love and applied learning. Personal growth includes areas such as morality, integrity, self-confidence, self-discipline and co-operation.
