Our New Students

The Neohumanist College of Asheville is delighted to announce its most recent cohort of students accepted into the Neohumanist Education Teacher Preparation Program. These individuals will contribute their unique experiences and perspectives, enriching the program and making it a hub for holistic and compassionate education. The College Team Expands


Soraia Mendes has recently joined the Transformative Social Sciences Discipline and will be an Instructor of the Leadership for Social Change – Self Module, launching its 2nd 20-week cohort in the Spring of 2024.
Shriraksha Mohan has recently joined the Transformative Social Sciences Discipline and will be an instructor of the Neohumanism and Prout Course, projected to launch its first cohort in 2024.
Edward Moan has joined the NHCA Board of Directors.

Ayesha Irani has accepted the Team Lead role for the Liberating Humanities and Arts Discipline. In that Discipline, Dr. Marco Oliveira is designing a new course to be offered at the College, tentatively titled the Yoga of Art.
Alberta Pedroja has accepted the role of Development Director at NHCA and has joined as an Advisory Board Member. She will be leading a team of volunteers focused on strengthening the financial standing of the college in support of the neohumanist mission.
MJ Glassman, in addition to being an Instructor of the Neohumanist Education Discipline, will now head up the Yoga & Intuitional Sciences Discipline as the Team Lead.

Christy Shaver has joined the NHCA Board of Directors.
