Neohumanist Teacher Training Accra, Ghana

Didi Ananda Gunamaya conducted a Teacher Training Program for three days in June at the new school in Ghana. The program included the following classes:

  • How to Make a Neohumanist Lesson Plan – Theory and practice
  • The Presence of Teaching
  • Encouraging Leadership – The importance of decision making for pupils
  • Manipulatives Skills – Making Crafts
  • Jolly Phonics – Teaching according to the child’s psychology
  • Dramatization
  • Botanic Drawing

In addition, there was daily meditation and the teachers rotated to give asana classes.

One of the teachers, Benwaa Ghanaian, had the following to say about it: “The training program helped me to have a better understanding of Neohumanist principles and how to use it in my teaching activities. It also enabled me to share ideas and teaching experience with my colleagues. It also fostered a better relationship between the staff.”
